Aimed at employees/learners who are working with customers on a daily basis in any business sector/field. The Diplomas are available at two levels ie Intermediate and Advanced. The advanced diploma is suitable for someone in a senior customer services role.

Typical units in customer service are:

·       Deliver customer service

·       Communicate verbally with customers

·       Communicate with customers in writing

·       Deal with incoming telephone calls from customers

·       Make telephone calls to customers

·       Promote products/services

·       Process information about customers

·       Resolve customer service problems

·       Develop customer service improvements

·       Use social media to deliver customer service

·       Processing sales orders

·       Meeting customers’ after sales needs

·       Handling objections and closing sales

·       Deal with incidents through a a contact centre

·       Negotiate in a business environment

·       Support customers using self service equipment

·       Resolve customer complaints 

Brief Apprenticeship Content: 



The NVQ will be assessed through a combination of observations of your performance; evidence collected in the workplace and knowledge questions.


Candidates who complete this qualification can progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship, Diploma in Customer Service Level 3.
